FAQ
We use a simple and delicious recipe, combining of eggs, milk, butter, flour, sugar.
We bake our doughnuts fresh every morning at our kitchen inside Alfalfa (1110 Washington St. Hoboken NJ)
All doughnuts should be ordered on the day they will be feasted on! We would love for you to enjoy them at their peak freshness. While they still taste ok the next day, we wouldn’t recommend keeping them overnight. If you order doughnuts with any speciality toppings, those should absolutely be eaten the same day to ensure the freshness of toppings (we’re looking at you Maple Cinnamon Toast Crunch!).
We are sorry - we are not a peanut / tree nut free facility. Our doughnuts are all made on the same equipment and in the same work area, so unfortunately, there is a possibility of cross contamination.
Each day we do our best to estimate how many of each flavor we need to make. Throughout the day, we also replenish the flavors that start to run low. All that being said, it takes a few hours to make our doughnuts from raising the dough to glazing the doughnuts, so unfortunately we can't just quickly put together a batch if a flavor was more popular than expected.
We need roughly 48 hours advance notice, depending on the order size. For rush orders with less than 24 hours notice, please contact hello@eatalfalfa.com by 2 pm to inquire. Not all flavors are available for rush orders.
We currently don’t offer gluten free or vegan doughnuts, however we are always experimenting new ways to grow and expand our doughnut options.
Yes! Please email us at hello@eatalfalfa.com for more information!
All flavors contain eggs and milk products.
Our facilities are NOT nut-free. All the doughnuts are made in the same workspace and fryers, so those with severe nut allergies should be aware of potential cross contamination and should ask their friendly doughnut server which flavors should be avoided!
Some of flavors contain trace amounts of soy.
Please note we are also NOT a gluten-free / vegan facility
